Library Bookcases
These bookcases were part of a larger design project for us that involved removal of existing walls to create a large open plan library area within a country house. We have designed the furniture to reflect a classical theme using detail such as roundels, pilasters and cornice.

Before

After
There is also a hidden light source within the cornice to wash the front of the cases with ambient light. Constructed using mdf, the bookcases have been painted by us to resemble the look of walnut, edged with gilt detail ,which complements the furniture within the room. We have painted the interior of the cabinets with a muted green colour which frames the books on display. The door in the centre of the bookcases is the entrance to a guest bedroom suite.

Roman Panel
This panel was completed for a Restaurant and provides a strong theme to their reception area.
The idea behind the work, was to create ancient ‘Pompeiian’ image. Measuring approximately 10ftx6ft.

The 'Parthenon’
This piece of furniture accommodates a large collection of books, a drinks cabinet and a library filing system concealed in the cupboards that form the base.

Designed along classical lines and hand painted to a soft antique finish incorporating marble painted detail. Lighting is also used to great effect to light the glazed cabinet as well as up lighters along the pediment that give an ambient light to the room. It is nicknamed by our clients as ‘the Parthenon’.

Townhouse Kitchen
This kitchen was designed and installed by a local manufacturer. We were asked by the client to introduce a painted scheme. We have applied a fresco style painted finish to the walls and painted the furniture in a soft antique finish, using a denim blue on the centre island to complement fabric choices within the room.

The ‘salon’ doors have been painted using a high finish car body spray, mirror panels and accented with wrought iron bolts to create a unique statement within the room.
Above the doors is a mock up of a Roman style panel, which we have constructed using a mixture of Terracotta ornament, plaster detail and MDF. This has then been painted using a heavy texture paint colour washed and sanded back to resemble ancient stone.

Walnut and White Wardrobes
The wardrobes here are designed cleverly to fit into an otherwise impossible space. Incorporating walnut and white glass, the furniture is also extended to include a dressing table. A combination of roman blinds and venetian blinds within the room, form the stylish window dressings, giving privacy from the adjoining road and sound insulation to form a comfortable and ‘masculine’ scheme.
