Duncan and Gules cleere are a husband and wife team, who bring professional expertise together with a relaxed, creative approach to their work as Interior Designers.
After training at the V&A, Duncan Cleere began his career as a specialist painter in London in the 1980s. Returning to his roots in the West Country in the early 1990’s he continued working as a specialist painter, whilst beginning to undertake smaller design & management projects for his early clients, such as painted schemes, hand painted kitchens, curtains & joinery work.
Through the 90’s, whilst continuing to grow his design & decoration business, he ran decorative paint finish courses and guest lectured on Interior Design courses, throughout Somerset.
Prior to meeting each other, Gules worked as a ‘super nanny’ in Hertfordshire.
She has a natural affinity for people an instinctive feel for great design.
This brings a vital dimension to the company.
Duncan and Gules established Cleere Interior Design in 1999, and have since expanded to confidently tackling all manner of projects, big or small, creating interiors for a wide variety of residential and commercial clients across Somerset and Devon. |

It is our primary aim to bring great design ideas, excellent service and cost effective solutions for all areas of the home.
Our fees structure is fair and transparent, and because we pass ‘trade discounts’ to our clients, very often it means that we are able to save you considerable sums of money, across any project.
At the very least, we know that we will prevent you from making expensive mistakes. |
